Electromagnetic cylinders and actuators for use in applications where compressed air is either not available, too expensive, too slow or for other reasons is not the optimal solution.

Note: If the actuator is within the switching range (safety door closed), the safety contacts and, if applicable, the signal contacts of the safety switch are activated. The contact is thus closed via a magnet (magnetic field). Form A: Actuator on one level to the safety switch. Form B: Actuator offset by 90° to the safety switch.

Initiator cables, also referred to as sensor/actuator cables, connect control units and different sensors, or, in the case of reversal of the measurement principle, actuators. Frequently used abbreviations include ini or ini cable (plural: inis). Sensor or measurement transducers transform physical quantities such as rotation, speed, distance or length into analogue electric impulses. In the case of an actuator, the measured electric current (symbol: I, unit: ampere; A) or voltage (symbol: U, unit: volt; V) is transformed into temperature, pressure or torque. The connection cable consists of at least three cores with a small cross-section of between 0.14mm² and 0.34mm². In the simplest case, two cores are required for supplying the voltage, while the last core transmits an I/O signal. For sensitive applications, there are shielded versions in addition to the traditional ini cables to avoid EMC disruptions (electromagnetic compatibility).

3/2-way NO or NC microvalves with various actuation systems. A variety of mechanical or manual actuators can be combined and expanded to 5/2 and 5/3-way functions using a universal adapter.

The AT multi-turn actuators are characterized by their compact shape and clear design. Integrated grooves for sensor mounting. Angle of rotation from 0° to 180°.

The pneumatically operated directional valves VK are robust, reliable and can be installed in a variety of ways. Installation in-line, on the wall, on modules, as a battery or directly on cylinders is possible without any problems. Available sizes between 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 in 3/2, 5/2 and 5/3.

Rotary drives convert the linear movement of the pneumatic cylinders into a rotary movement. Standard rotation angles are 90° – 180° – 270° – 360°. Adjustable by 10°. Special angles are possible.

The VY solenoid valves are robust, reliable and can be installed in a variety of ways. Installation in-line, on the wall, on modules, as a battery or directly on cylinders is possible without any problems. Available sizes between 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 in 3/2, 5/2 and 5/3.

The ultrasonic actuators of the SLIMLINE product line are characterized by their extremely slim design and their large variant diversity. These ultrasonic actuator types are available in frequencies of 20, 30, and 35 kHz. A compact console structure, precise guiding systems and variable drive units are a solid basis for repeatable weld results. In combination with Herrmann weld process controls, the system is used for customized integration solutions in automation.

The 35 kHz COMPACTLINE are well suited for multi-head work spaces and are frequently also used in robot automation due to their low weight. The extremely small dimensions allow for closely spaced arrangement of several units. Depending on the selected stack, various types are available. A number of different drive variants in terms of cylinder diameter and stroke are provided.

The ultrasonic actuators of the TWINLINE product line are used for solving weld tasks with a Herrmann Ultrasonic 20 kHz twin sonotrode. The finely tuned twin-stack is mounted on a carriage. The construction and design principle allows for large weld forces and high precision. This product line also provides a number of variants.
