With the GESIPA® FireRex® it is possible for the first time to set huge numbers of blind rivet nuts fast and fully automatically. Since neither a camera nor any kind of optical device, which are usually dust-prone, are necessary to find the drilled hole, the system allows stable operation even in adverse production environments without requiring huge maintenance efforts. The setting tool can also be integrated into already existing production systems without a problem, thus allowing to make the systems more economical. Also available as FireRex® 2 C WinTech with setting process monitoring.

The brushless motor and 10,000 N of force make the AccuBird® Pro extremely fast for installing blind rivets up to 5 mm in diameter, in any material and up to 6 mm in diameter aluminium. As far as technology and functionality are concerned, the TAURUS® 2/24 is identical to the standard tool, however has a stroke of 24 mm instead of 18 mm. FireFox® 2 C – With setting process monitoring This tool is based on the proven TAURUS® C model. Here the setting process is analysed via integrated electronics using stroke and force sensors. The user can defi ne an OK window by means of a special software. A coloured LED on the tool shows the results of the setting process monitoring which can also be recorded and processed via data line. Apllications In the serial production of safety component parts as well as in automated setting processes the FireFox® C allows checking and documentation of the setting process. The TAURUS® 2/AS is a special version of theTAURUS® 2 with a VAS slide switch which does not engage when in its highest position, thus achieving that vacuum absorption is automatically deactivated once the tool is not in use. This way, unintentional activation of the vacuum absorption with unnecessary air consumption can be effectively avoided.

The TAURUS® 2/K has been designed for setting plastic rivets. In its functionality the TAURUS® 2/K is identical to the standard tool, however has a stroke of 24 mm instead of 18 mm. Plastic rivets only need a low setting force, however, normally require large setting strokes due to the toughness of the plastic material. The TAURUS® 2/K allows to safely set plastic rivets with only one setting stroke! The TAURUS® 2/K comes with 3 nose pieces for plastic rivets 17/30 K, 17/35 K and 17/40 K included. As a combination of blind rivet nut and screw, blind rivet nut studs offer an alternative or replacement for welding studs. The combi setting tool Flipper® Plus is a combi setting tool for blind rivets and blind rivet nuts. A tool-free conversion from blind rivet to blind rivet nut setting tool is possible in under one minute in just a few simple steps. The ergonomically designed hand tool has a new ratchet function. The force increases when the handle is closed. This finding is put to good use in a special lever arrangement for setting blind rivets and blind rivet nuts. The required manual force is reduced by around 40 percent if actuated several times. Due to an actuation lever with an opening spring the tool can be used easily for a single-handed operation. The jaw mechanism with spring reset arranges a safe and automatic mandrel ejection. The rivet mandrel collection container can be clipped to the body casing and is easy to empty. The larger device lift is a benefit when handling extra long blind rivets. The Flipper® Plus offers a simplified setting procedure for blind rivet nuts.
