Our capacitors of the E12 and E33 series are universally-suited for lighting and motor applications as well as power factor correction and power electronics. Their winding element of self-healing polypropylene film is immersed in eco-friendly vegetable oil and designed for highest requirements regarding operational life and functional safety even at high operating temperatures and other extreme conditions such as high humidity. Connection is made through tab connectors. The hermetical aluminium can is provided with an integrated overpressure safety mechanism (break-action mechanism, " BAM ") that disconnects the capacitor irreversibly from the supply in the event of a failure. The E12/E33 ranges comply with the "Type B" classification under lighting standard IEC/EN61048 as well as with "Class P2" under motor capacitor standard IEC/EN 60252-1. Please mind our safety remarks on the use of lighting capacitors in critical environment.

The mechanical design of the LUMIMAX® Area Lights with LightGuide technology was significantly reduced by repositioning the cooling fins as well as the optimization of the light guides and the controllers. The dimensions (l x w x h) and the weight of the new versions are about 25% lower compared to the predecessor models - with the same light field dimensions. Thanks to newly developed flexible cable outlets on the rear of the lights, the connection cables can be flexibly positioned. Thus, the optimized, more compact casing design with protection class IP64 enables flexible use in demanding industrial environments.

UV lights are used to make invisible features on products visible. The UV radiation causes certain materials to glow. This glowing is clearly visible to the human eye and cameras. Product labels that consumers find annoying can be applied with transparent, fluorescent ink. However, under UV radiation, the labelling can be made visible for the purposes of inspection. Fluorescent, low-contrast adhesives, paints and seals can be shown in high contrast with ultraviolet radiation. Presence and completeness monitoring is thus made easier for the camera. The finest cracks, such as in cast parts, can be made visible with the aid of fluorescence.

With a free inner diameter of 45 mm, an outer diameter of 100 mm, a design height of 25 mm and a weight of just 250 g, the LR45 is very compact. The three-dimensional cable outlet on the back enables highly flexible electrical integration of the light. Rear mounting threads and versatile accessories allow uncomplicated mechanical connection to various cameras and sensors. This makes the LR45 the ideal choice for use in confined spaces as well as in motion handling and robot vision systems – even under demanding industrial conditions thanks to IP64 protection. Despite its compact exterior, high-performance integrated controller technology for either continuous, switched or flash operation mode is hidden inside the LR45. In addition, the light has high-speed trigger inputs and the option of brightness control. The irradiance characteristics of the light can be adjusted to the application with the aid of ancillary lenses.

The BLACK variant of the LUMIMAX® Area Lights have a light area, which is diffuse black when the light is switched off and therefore it can be used as a low-reflection background. The special coating of the diffusor absorbs a large part of the incident light. Hotspots, e. g. from single LEDs of a ring light (reflected light), are not visible in the camera image. If the lights are switched on, they offer the usual homogeneous, diffuse, but still very bright lighting. Therefore, these lights are ideally suited for complex Machine Vision applications that require a combination of reflected light and backlight within a single checking station.

LUMIMAX® LED Area Lights can be either used as an incident or a transmitted illumination. Depending on the diffusor it produces a homogeneous or a directed light to highlight characteristic features of the test objects. Its structure allows any kind of arrangement around the test object. Large sized LED Area Lights can be used for illumination of along distant object. High power LED area flood lights in the LQ series have an impressive range of functional highlights. The integrated lens exchange option allows the light source to be individually adjusted to different object sizes and working distances.

Under the name BASIC, LUMIMAX® is presenting a new, high-performance LED lighting series for simple Machine Vision applications. The focus on essential functions and the smart optomechanical design allow acquisition costs for this series to be optimised while maintaining high quality and reliability. The lightings in the BASIC series can be precisely switched synchronously with image acquisition thanks to digital, load-free SPS trigger inputs. With modern LED technology used in a highly efficient manner, the lightings reaches new intensity dimensions in its attractive price segment. Compact aluminium housings with highly flexible 3D cable outlets and a standardised LUMIMAX® BASIC connection concept allow the lightings to be easily integrated into industrial Machine Vision systems.
