We offer you standardized complete systems for the measurement of volume & mass flows. We use measuring elements that have established themselves within previously built customer-specific test benches and convince with high measuring accuracy. The SMF® series of nozzle test benches has been specially developed for calibration with air. Critical nozzles are used as measuring elements. Up to 18 critical nozzles can be combined, depending on customer requirements. EP offers different designs for the register: Drum Design, Block Design & Register Design. Another variant is a mobile system: The EP SMF® - Mobile Flow Calibrator - a compact measuring system for flow calibration. EP Ehrler Prüftechnik manufactures single nozzles in the flow rate range from 0.005 to 2000 m³/h. In addition to our standard range, we also manufacture customer-specific nozzles that are perfectly designed for your application in compliance with DIN EN ISO 9300*.

Based on years of experience in the field of test bench metrology in the automotive industry, EP develops test bench solutions for various applications. We build test benches for testing automotive components such as heat exchangers, intercoolers, filters, valves and others. These are test benches on which e.g. supplier parts for the automotive industry are tested in production. Our specialist knowledge of the industry makes us a strong partner in this area.

NIR LED– Technology, Continuous InLine measurement of two organic components Description The HK3 Series are NIR (Near Infrared) LED InLine measurement devices with state–of–the–art technology. The devices are used on conveyor belt, in pipelines (connection via flow through measuring cell or flange) and in tanks / vessel. Through the modular construction (Sensor and evaluation unit are separate), the sensor can be installed at a different accessible places and the evaluation unit can be installed at a well accessible place. EP Ehrler Prüftechnik manufactures LFEs in the flow rate range from 0.012 to 4000 m³/h. In addition to the standard range, EP offers customer-specific LFEs that are perfectly designed for your application. Suitable inlet and outlet sections and the corresponding mounting kits are available for all sizes for installation in customer applications. The achievable measuring accuracy depends largely on the sensor technology used, in particular the differential pressure sensor. When using high-quality sensors, measuring accuracies of up to 0.5 % MW can be achieved with LFEs in the measuring range of 1:10. In order to cover a very wide measuring range without restrictions in measuring accuracy, LFEs with overlapping flow ranges can be combined in one measuring setup. Alternatively, LFEs with correspondingly lower measurement accuracy can also be calibrated for an extended measurement range up to a maximum of 1:100.

We develop and manufacture Venturi tubes and nozzles as individual components or as complete VMF® systems. The VenturiMasterFlow® measuring system, VMF® for short, is used for the precise measurement of air or gas volume and mass flows 100,000 m³/h The flow measurement by means of a Venturi tube or Venturi nozzle is characterized by high measuring accuracies up to 0.5% MW and a fast response time < 10 ms. A further benefit is the high long-term stability of the measuring element.

Over the last few years, we at EP-E have designed and introduced a range of primary standards designed for use in calibration laboratories. As a technology partner of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig, Germany, our solutions are based on the highest standards. The EP gas bell plungers generate a volume flow which is traceable to the SI units length and time. The pistons are driven by a stepper motor via a spindle. In the initial state one piston is fully retracted and the other fully extended. The volume flow can be set with high precision via the piston cross section and the travel speed. At the end of the calibration process, both pistons are in the opposite position to the initial position.
