Befort VIS objectives are colorcorrected for VIS use and are routinely equipped with VISAR coating. The UV objectives are made of quartz glass or CaFl2 and optimized for λ = 185 nm

Edmund Optics® offers a wide range of Imaging Lenses suited for many imaging needs. Several TECHSPEC® Imaging Lenses are available that offer unique imaging capabilities that are not capable with standard lenses, such as TECHSPEC® Telecentric Lenses for edge contrast imaging or TECHSPEC® SWIR Imaging Lenses, which have been optimized for use with shortwave infrared wavelengths. A large selection of Imaging Lens accessories is also available including mounts or adapters for additional functionality.

The liquid lens objective is an Smount objective with internal focusing on the basis of a liquid lens. The working distance can be electronically set by applying voltage. This procedure makes mechanical components completely obsolete. The objective’s design is compact and robust. The objective has excellent optical properties and is ideally suited for observation or image processing tasks. Focal length and mounting thread can be adjusted to customer specifications.

Our product range comprises objectives with focal lengths from 5 60 mm. Our objectives are all coated with a reflectionreducing coating and are computed and optimized for the intended application. Of course, we also design and compute customized objectives and systems to meet your special requirements.

The SteriPlast® scraper for foodstuffs, made of blue polystyrene, is produced in our class 7 clean room (10,000), individually packaged for disposable use and then sterilised by gamma rays. Sturdy and convenient scraper for disposable use. The scraper is suitable for scraping off, smoothing or cleaning as well as removing residue. The shade of blue that is used does not occur in a natural form in foodstuffs. Because of this, blue products or parts of them can be quickly found and easily identified in a visual check if they are ever mixed into production. The use of blue tools thus helps to meet the requirements of the HACCP hazard analysis and assessment in reference to foreign objects. This is an important criterion, especially in food processing and production and in the animal feed and pharmaceutical industry.

The SteriPlast® spoon for foodstuffs, made of polystyrene, is produced in our class 7 clean room (10,000), individually packaged for disposable use and then sterilised by gamma rays. The spoon for foodstuffs is available in two sizes, 2.5 ml (similar to a teaspoon) and 10 ml (similar to a tablespoon), and is ideal for sampling powders, granulates, pastes and fluids. The shade of blue that is used does not occur in a natural form in foodstuffs. Because of this, blue products or parts of them can be quickly found and easily identified in a visual check if they are ever mixed into production. The use of blue tools thus helps to meet the requirements of the HACCP hazard analysis and assessment in reference to foreign objects. EGE infrared detectors are used to detect hot objects and to record and measure temperatures. The sensors detect the infrared radiation of warm and hot objects from 20° C to 800 ° C. EGE infrared detectors are designed for use under extreme conditions. With their glass and stainless steel housing they are water-tight according to IP 68 / IP 69. With attachment optics can be used at an ambient temperature up to 500° C. An optional blow-out system makes the sensors insensitive to contamination of the optics. The detectors are, for example, used to detect steel girders or hot rolled wire as well as for the contactless temperature control of brewer’s barley in germination tanks.
