The TLS 100 tube sensor works on the capacitive measuring principle and detects the presence of a liquid in a plastic tube. These plastic tubes may also be mounted as a by-pass on a compensator in order to signal the required medium level in containers. The sensor is simply snapped onto the tube at the ideal level of the medium and provides versatile usage for a wide range of applications in medical equipment, the food stuffs industry etc. The sensor can additionally be fixed by means of the two mounting lugs to ensure a tight fit on the tube. Caution The switch point is factory pre-set so as to lie exactly between the two mounting clips. When readjusting the switch point, please observe that it again lies between the two clips. A mass surface in the proximity (< 10 mm) may influence the switch point and may necessitate a readjustment.

The capacitive level sensor BEDIA NR 150 is suitable for liquids with low relative dielectric constant εr 1,8 … 6 (ref. εr 2,1). It has a MIN/MAX selector switch and the functions for MIN or MAX monitoring as well as other properties (output signal LSS or HSS, response delay etc.) are factory pre-set. The switch point is adjustable by means of a teach-in momentary switch.

The capacitive level sensor NR 160 is designed to monitor liquids and powders with high relative dielectric constant εr 35 … 85. The functions for MIN or MAX monitoring as well as other properties (output signal LSS or HSS, response delay etc.) are factory pre-set. The NR 260 is a capacitive level sensor for monitoring liquids. It is designed for use in fuel cells. The material is also suited to applications in the chemical industry for monitoring aggressive media. The functions for MIN or MAX monitoring as well as other properties (output signal LSS or HSS, response delay etc.) are factory pre-set. Capacitive sensors are designed for non-contact measurement of displacement, distance and position, as well as for thickness measurement. Due to their high signal stability and resolution, capacitive displacement sensors are applied in laboratories and industrial measurement tasks. In production control, for example, capacitive sensors measure film thickness and application of the adhesive. Installed in machines, they monitor displacement and tool positions.

Capacitive displacement sensors are designed for measurement tasks that require extremely high precision. The capaNCDT 6500 capacitive multi-channel system is ideally suited to reliable measurements down to sub-nanometre resolution. The controller offers a maximum response rate of 7.8kHz (digital, with up to four channels) or a frequency response of 8.5kHz. As well as an analogue output, an EtherCAT interface is also available. EtherCAT enables accurate data transmission in real time, with high speed integration into the existing measurement environment and synchronisation of two systems. Set up and configuration of the capaNCDT 6500 system are carried out easily using a web browser.

The capaNCDT MD6-22 capacitive dual-channel handheld gauge is used for mobile and precise measurement of gaps. This measuring device impresses with high accuracy, intuitive operation and long battery life. Thanks to preset measurement modes, the handheld gauge is immediately ready for use. Compatible with all capacitive sensors from Micro-Epsilon, the MD6-22 is used in different measurement tasks, e.g. for rotor gap monitoring in wind turbines and alignment of rollers in plant and machinery.

The capaNCDT DT61x0/IP is an industrial-grade, capacitive sensor system for displacement, distance and position measurements. Consisting of a sensor, a sensor cable and a controller, the measuring system is ready for use without any on-site calibration. Due to its very good temperature stability, immunity to magnetic fields and robust design that is protected to IP68, the capaNCDT DT61x0/IP is used for industrial measurement tasks such as air gap measurement in generators and regulation of plant and machinery.

The capaNCDT DTV series is designed for non-contact detection of Disc Thickness Variation (DTV). Capacitive sensors for multi-track measurements and a carrying case including the complete measurement channel for mobile use are available. With the capaNCDT DTV measurement system, capacitive displacement sensors determine the thickness of the brake discs from both sides based on the difference principle. While the brake disc rotates, the thickness deviation is determined via the circumference of the entire disc. Using several sensors in pairs or the CSH1,4FL multi-channel sensor makes multi-track thickness measurement possible. Thickness measurements can be carried out in test benches, in road tests or in car repair shops. The DTV case is intended for mobile use, e.g., for quality assurance purposes and warranty claims.

In its sensor housing, the combiSENSOR combines two displacement sensors. This unique sensor concept enables one-sided thickness measurement of electrically non-conductive materials on metallic objects. Its field of application is the thickness measurement of plastic film or of plastic coating on metal plates. The eddy current sensor penetrates the plastic layer and measures the distance to a metallic material underneath it, e.g. a metal plate. The capacitive sensor synchronously detects the distance to the plastic material. The thickness is determined based on the difference of both sensor signals.

Application examples are often found where the standard versions of the sensors and the controller are performing at their limits. For these special tasks, the measurement systems can be modified according to the customer’s individual requirements. Changes requested include, for example, modified designs, target calibration, mounting options, individual cable lengths, modified measuring ranges or sensors with integrated controller.

Micro-Epsilon offers a comprehensive range of capacitive displacement sensors. These capacitive sensors are used for displacement, position and also for thickness measurements. Different sensor designs enable optimal integration into machines and systems. The capaNCDT sensors achieve best values in terms of linearity, temperature stability and resolution. While sub-micrometer precision is reached in industrial environments, even sub-nanometer accuracy can be achieved in clean environments.

The new capacitive sensor system capaNCDT 6228 is designed for measurement tasks with ambient temperatures up to +800 °C. Up to four high-temperature sensors of the CSE/HT series can be connected simultaneously to the powerful controller. The integrated high-temperature sensor cable compensates for interference from electric or magnetic fields. Furthermore, the measured data is output both analog and digital via modern interfaces such as Ethernet and EtherCAT.

The capaNCDT 6200 is the first entirely modular multi-channel measuring system. The controller can be expanded to 4 channels and is therefore suitable for flexible applications. All capacitive displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon can be operated using the capaNCDT 6200 controller. The integrated Ethernet interface supports parameter setting and measurements via web interface. The DL6230 demodulator provides high resolution measurements. For high-speed measurements up to 20 kHz, the capaNCDT 6222 system is available.

The capaNCDT DT61x4 is an active, capacitive system for displacement, distance and position measurements. Consisting of a sensor with integrated preamplifier, a robust cable and a compact controller, the measuring system is immediately ready for use without any on-site calibration. The measuring system is available with a cable length up to 15 m and is ideal for automation purposes. The capaNCDT 61x4 is particularly suitable for automated robot manufacturing and measurement tasks with a drag chain. Moreover, it is used in machine building and semiconductor production. For optimum signal quality, the desired cable length is already factory-calibrated.

The capaNCDT 6110 is a new, capacitive single-channel displacement measurement system comprising a compact controller, a sensor cable and the sensor. Due to the miniaturised controller and its easy operation, the capaNCDT 6110 is ideally suited to the integration in machines and facilities.

The capaNCDT CST6110 is a capacitive rotation speed sensor system for counting tasks and rotational speed measurements of any type. The industrial measuring system consists of a dust proof, water tight controller and a compact sensors which can be integrated in confined spaces. The rotation speed sensor is used in centrifugal test benches, balancing machines, generators and engines, as well as shafts and drives. The CST6110 detects and counts blades, gearwheels and nubs with the highest precision and stability even in dusty, oily environments.

The BTS 8101.EO O-frame is based on the combisensor principle. The system is equipped with a non-contact capacitive sensors and a Thrubeam sensor which are integrated in a traversing frame. The eddy current sensor measures the reference distance to the measurement roll‘s metal surface. The distance from the film surface is measured by the Thrubeam sensor. Together with the reference signal the film thickness is calculated. This combisensor principle allows extreme precise measurements.

The FTS 8101.EC O-frame is based on the combisensor principle equipped with non-contact capacitive sensors. The distance between sensor and film is measured with the capacitive sensor. The eddy-current sensors ensures the thickness signal by a reference measurement to a second target. The system can be integrated in the flat layer section.

The separable stainless steel probe LMK 358 has been designed for level measurement in waste water, waste and higher viscosity media. Basic element is a capacitive ceramic sensor. The LMK 458 has been developed for measuring level in service and storage tanks and is as a consequence certificated for shipbuilding and offshore applications. A permissible operating temperature of up to 125 °C and the possibility to use the device in intrinsic safe areas enable to measure the pressure of various fluids under extreme conditions.
