ADS-TEC Industrial IT offers two router/firewall series for network security in industrial environments. These are the IRF1000 and the IRF3000 series. These firewalls are an all-in-one solutions in terms of security. Several functionalities are offered in one product. The firewalls are convincing as a remote maintenance centre, router or edge device, which controlls networked machines and systems without cascading and securing them locally. Thanks to the integrated Docker technology, the IRF series can process data independently, making them the ideal platform for versatile applications in the Industrial Internet of Things. Depending on the model, the networks range from 400 Mbit/s to 8 x 1000 Mbit/s.

Challenge To execute a pilot project at the Energisa distribution network operator in Brazil within a tight time frame. The customer needed to install 23 kV outdoor circuit breakers with protection at a newly erected substation. Solution Tavrida Electric supplied the Rec25 with substation mounting kit to meet the deadline and satisfy the customer’s requirements in terms of protection. The mounting kit was subjected to comprehensive mechanical tests including overweighting, wind load and seismic impact with successful results.

When connecting amplifier and loudspeaker, the cross-section of the cable should be as large as possible. This ensures on the one hand the low-loss transmission of even high power and on the other hand the damping of the counter-EMK generated in the loudspeaker via the internal resistance of the amplifier. Depending on the requirements, standard cables, twin cables, coaxial highly flexible loudspeaker cables, twinaxial cables and multi-channel constructions are used.

Our coaxial video cables are suitable for video surveillance, studio technology, transmission of video data to monitors or industrial image processing. BDA video cables use low attenuation foamed polyethylene (cell-PE) as dielectric, and are double shielded to provide better shielding against interferences. Video coaxial cables from bda connectivity are characterized by tightly limited characteristic impedances of 75 Ω +/-1%. These cables are available with different diameters, thus enabling different transmission lengths.

The specially developed production line can unwind, label, roughen, cut to length, strip, wind, bind and automatically deposit the cable wires. The material to be processed is unwound by a motorised unwinder and fed to a thermal transfer printer via a straightener. The latter prints the cable with two QR codes and a serial number. This ensures that each cable can be identified throughout the entire processing and manufacturing process and assigned to the stations which have already passed through. This traceability offers great advantages – for example in the diagnosis of faults. The cable then passes through a roughening station, which lightly roughens the material surface so that the connector overmoulding adheres better later on. An AM 3550 from Metzner Maschinenbau cuts to length and strips the cable, which is then transported to the winding station and onwards by a gripper to the binding machine. The latter winds the cable to form a cable ring.
