The pressure transmitter illustrated here measures differences in pressure between the two connections of the measuring element. Pressure differences can be measured with respect to a reference pressure, such as atmosphere, or to the command variable of a regulation system. Equally, however, it is possible to measure pressure differences within systems that have a high static pressure. One practical example of this would be measuring a flow rate by determining the pressure drop occurring across a metering diaphragm. The differential pressure transmitter measures in both directions and can therefore, for instance, be used on double-acting hydraulic cylinders. Its construction permits it to be used with liquid or gaseous media. Venting holes simplify installation. The robust design and the use of stainless steel make it possible to use the pressure transmitter under tough operating conditions.

The pressure transmitter DMK 456 has been developed for measuring the pressure in systems and the level in tanks and is as a consequence certificated for shipbuilding and offshore applications. Due robust stainless steel field housing and the possibility to use the device in intrinsic safe areas (temperature class T6) enable to measure the pressure of aggressive gases and fluids under extreme operating conditions. The basis for the DMK 456 is a capacitive ceramic sensor element designed by BD\SENSORS, which offers a high overload resistance and medium compatibility. The DMD 331 is a differential pressure transmitter for industrial applications and is based on a piezoresistive stainless steel sensor, which can be pressurized on both sides with fluids or gases compatible with SST 1.4404 and 1.4435. The compact design allows an integration of the DMD 331 in machines and applications with limited space. The DMD 331 calculates the difference between the pressure on the positive and the negative side and converts it into a proportional electrical signal. The DMD 341 is a differential pressure transmitter for non-aggressive gases and compressed air. Because of its compact and robust aluminium housing it is suited for machine and plant engineering. The pressure transmitter DPS 300 was developed for the differential pressure measuring for dry, non aggressive gases and compressed air and can be used for several HVAC applications. The DPS 300 is a multi range transmitter with up to three adjustable ranges. The device is equipped with a two-line LC display optionally and can simply parameterised. The differential pressure transmitter DPT 100 has been especially designed for fast test processes in leakage and flow measurement, where a fast response time and high sampling rate are necessary. The compact design of the DPT 100 facilitates the use in standardised applications, e. g., and the installation in 19“ Rack. The digital differential pressure transmitter PASCAL Ci4 Delta P has been specially designed for the mounting of diaphragm seals with a volume reduced differential pressure chamber. Due to this design the transmitter is suitable for various applications, e.g. for the level measurement of pressure vessels.

The OPTIBAR DP 7060 is a differential pressure transmitter with integrated absolute pressure measurement. It offers a high degree of modularity for various flow, hydrostatic level or process pressure applications. For DP flow measurements it can be perfectly combined with the KROHNE primary elements (e.g. orifice plates or pitot tubes). The DKP1010 is a differential pressure transmitter for sophisticated applications with high accuracy. Several ranges are available starting from +/-20Pa to 0..2000hPa. The differential pressure transmitter has a number of up to 4 analogue outputs (0-1V, 0-5V, 0-10V or (0)4..20mA) as well as a USB port to configure the unit according to your demands. This includes velocity or flow rate calculations, ranges outputs and more. Further options are a RS232-Port, LC-Display and alarm output.

The DKP900 is a differential pressure transducer suitable for almost every HVAC application. The measurement range as well as the analog output signal can be set and adjusted on site. Therefore you will only have to keep one model type in storage for any of your applications. You can choose from two sensor ranges 0...1 000 Pa and 0...10 000Pa which are scaleable with a DIP switch. The transducer comprises a sensor with good long-term stability and an optional zero point calibration, which can be performed at the push of a button. A module for automated calibration can be built-in, too. This allows for regular calibration and makes it virtually maintenance free. The DKP900 is protected against splash water according to IP65 making it suitable for operation under rough conditions.

The pressure transmitter is particularly suitable for measuring volume flow of town gas supplies or other gaseous hydrocarbons such as butane, methane etc. in industrial furnaces or combustion plants. The instrument does not generate any ATEX zone as its design and technical safeguards mean it poses no ignition hazard. The measuring range is scalable in the range from 10 .. 100 %. This can be performed using a keyboard and display (optional). The measured values can be displayed in all standard units. A selectable time constant allows the transducer to be adjusted perfectly to the pressure conditions and thus ensures a stable output signal. The P 29 can be mounted either on a wall or on top-hat rails.

This compact differential pressure transmitter is particularly suited to filter and pressure monitoring applications in the heating, air-conditioning and ventilation industries. An optional display allows measurement values to be read directly on-site in Pa or kPa. An optional time constant (up to 4s) allows the instrument to generate an attenuated output signal, even under fluctuating pressure conditions. To reduce wiring costs, the instrument is also available in a version with two-wire technology (optional). The PS 27 can be mounted either on a wall or on top-hat rails. The instrument is available with an ISO factory calibration or DAkkS calibration certificate (optional).

The P 26 differential pressure transmitter is designed for pressure monitoring applications in cleanrooms, laboratories, pharmaceutical plants and operating theatres as well as for special uses in machine and plant construction. As well as measuring the differential pressure, the instrument also records positive and negative overpressures as well as flow rates or volumetric flows. The measuring range is scalable in the range from 10 .. 100 %. Two optional contact points allow the user to connect visual or audible alarms that are triggered any time values rise above or fall below specified limits. The transmitter can be configured easily via an USB interface (optional) with software. This can also be performed using a keyboard and display (optional). The measured values can be displayed in all standard units. A selectable time constant allows the transmitter to be adjusted perfectly to the pressure conditions and thus ensures a stable output signal.

This differential pressure transmitter in a control panel housing is suitable for use as a 2- or 3-point controller thanks to its two integrated limit contacts. These permit the realisation, e.g. of ventilation controls, at low cost and without the need for additional electronics. Both the threshold values and the hysteresis for the controller are easy to set via the front keyboard. The display provides readings of measurement values directly on-site in Pa, kPa, inchH2O or mmH2O as well as information about the output states of the limit contacts. An adjustable time constant (up to 10 s) allows the instrument to generate an attenuated output signal, even under fluctuating pressure conditions. Cyclical self-calibration of the zero point ensures a high level of measurement accuracy. The instrument is available with an ISO factory calibration or DAkkS calibration certificate (optional).

This pressure transmitter is particularly well suited for monitoring filters and pressures in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) applications. DIP switches allow users to configure the output signal and switchable measurement ranges (optional). Settings provide an option for conversion to a root-extracted output signal (displayed as a % of the maximum output value). An internal button is also available for performing a zero-point correction or fine-tuning the end value. An optional display allows users to read the measured value directly on site in Pa or kPa. With an optional time constant (up to 10s), the instrument can produce an attenuated output signal, even under unstable pressure conditions. An optional two-wire version of the device is also available for reducing wiring complexity. In addition to simple wall-mounting with just 2 screws, the PS 17 is also suitable for mounting on top-hat rails.

The sensor model 8228 with its measuring accuracy of 0.05% F.S. (for the measuring ranges ≤ 1 bar, the measuring accuracy is 0.1% F.S.) ideally suited as a reference sensor. The compact dimensions, the robust housing and the industrial-grade output signal result in a very wide range of applications. All components in contact with media are made of stainless steel. An integrated measuring amplifier converts the measuring signals directly into interference-free voltage signals or current signals that can be transmitted over long distances. With the „gage“ measurement type, the pressure measurement is carried out against the ambient pressure, the sensor has a bore that is protected against ambient influences to compensate for the ambient pressure. With the „Absolute“ measurement type, the applied pressure is measured against an enclosed vacuum; this measurement type is available from the measuring range 0 ... 250 mbar. The electrical connection is made via an M12 x 1 connector.

With its rugged housing and a stainless steel sensor element, the transducer is particularly robust and ideally suited to the harshest environments. This also means that the sensor can be installed anywhere with no effect on the measurement signal. The built-in instrumentation amplifier converts the sensor signals into noise-immune voltage signals or current signals that can be transmitted over relatively long distances. For high viscose materials, a front-level membrane M12 x 1 is available, and with this disruptive dead volumes can be expelled. The sensor has a small protected hole on the rear to allow measurement of atmospheric pressure (measurement type relative). For the absolute measurement option, the applied pressure is measured with respect to an enclosed vacuum. As an electrical connection, a DIN 43650A valve connector or an M12 x 1, 4-pin connection is available.
