Stamping
Stamping is the process of placing a flat sheet in the form of a blank or coil into a stamping press where a tool and die give the sheet a distinct shape. Stamping includes a variety of sheet metal forming manufacturing processes, such as punching using a press or stamping press, cutting, embossing, bending, flanging, and drawing, etc.
What are the manufacturing processes of stamping?
Bending - the sheet is deformed or bent along a straight line.
Flanging - the sheet is bent along a curved line.
Embossing - the sheet is stretched into a shallow depression. Mainly used to add decorative patterns.
