We analyze multi-body systems and mechanisms with transient or geometrically nonlinear movements using multi-body simulations (MBS).
We take into account:
- rigid and/or elastic structures (FEM)
- general contact conditions
- general coupling conditions and support conditions
- nonlinear motion quantities
- kinetic operating forces
We also use multi-body simulations to determine unknown input parameters for further finite element investigations. For this, we primarily employ Abaqus/Explicit® and MATLAB/MultiBody®.
In destructive materials testing, we examine materials for their physical and chemical properties, deformability, microstructure, type of heat treatment, and corrosion resistance.
