PEEK – GUIDING STRAPS MADE OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE PLASTIC

Special application areas require special solutions. Against this backdrop, we have developed the PEEK guide band as an accessory for hydraulic cylinders, which can withstand enormous lateral and transverse forces. The reason: In very demanding applications, high pulsating transverse forces often need to be transmitted with small movements. Extensive testing has shown that polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is the ideal material for guide bands. The material exhibits an above-average combination of strength and toughness. Even at high operating temperatures, it demonstrates exceptional load-bearing capacity, good sliding properties, and high impact resistance. A diagonal groove pattern in the guide bands additionally ensures the continuous exchange of the lubricant film during very small cylinder strokes. This effectively prevents deposits.
