VITACafo Calcium Formate(CaFo)Cafo-P - Enhancing Early Strength and Reducing Water Absorption in Building Materials

Calcium Formate is a white or light-yellow crystalline powder that is free-flowing and easy to add. It is mainly used in building materials and animal feed. • In building materials, is water-soluble. When added to cement-based materials, it increases the concentration of Ca+ ions in the liquid phase, speeding up the dissolution rate of calcium silicate and promoting crystallization. This enhances the early strength of mortar and concrete by accelerating cement hydration. • In animal feed, releases formic acid through biochemical reactions, effectively lowering the pH in the gastrointestinal tract, promoting piglets' appetite, reducing the rate of diarrhea, and contributing to weight gain. Key Features: 1. High water solubility and easy dispersibility, improving early strength while also acting as a water reducer. 2. Noticeable early strength effect with appropriate setting time, without affecting long-term strength when used in proper dosages. 3. Does not produce chloride ions, ensuring no corrosion of steel reinforcements, making it safe to use. 4. Cost-effective early strength agent. o For masonry or plastering mortar: typical dosage is 0.3%-0.5% in summer, 0.5%-1.0% in winter. o For tile adhesives: C1-grade dosage is 0.3%-0.8%, C2-grade dosage is 0.5%-1.5%. When the dosage is between 0%-1.5%, the bonding strength of mortar increases as dosage increases. However, excessive dosage may cause rapid setting or even flash setting, leading to cracks and reduced strength in mortar/concrete. Dosages should be validated through testing. Applications: • Used as a setting accelerator in cement-based and gypsum-based formulations. • Masonry mortar • Plastering mortar • Tile adhesives • Non-structural repair mortars • Decorative plasters and putties Technical Specifications: • Appearance: White or light-yellow crystalline powder • Content (%) ≥30.1% • pH:6.5-8.0 • Insoluble in water (%) ≤1% • Heavy Metals (as Pb) (mg/Kg) ≤20 • REACH Certified, ISO 9001:2015 Compliant Standard packaging: 25kg bags For more info or samples, contact us: Website: www.vitchem.com WhatsApp: +49 1520 4735165
