History: Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, a prestigious estate in Pessac-Léognan, is located on the left bank of Bordeaux. Acquired in 2010 by the Pichet real estate group, Château Les Carmes-Haut-Brion is now one of the most distinguished wines in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. The nearly 40-year-old vines are cultivated over 30 hectares of vineyard. Only 7.60 hectares are used for the production of the Grand Vin des Carmes Haut-Brion. Grapes: Cabernet Franc 42%, Cabernet Sauvignon 31%, Merlot 27% Vinification: Parcel-by-parcel harvesting, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, concrete, and wood. Aging: 18 to 24 months in oak barrels (75% new barrels, 16% in large casks, 9% in terracotta jars). Tasting: Dark, intense, and brilliant color. Intense, subtle, very ripe nose, with the magical and ineffable background that gives this wine its nobility. Complex, with hints of pine wood.
