THERMAX - SF (1100°C)

Thermax boards are environmentally friendly, resistant to temperature changes, recyclable, and flexible in processing. The raw material base of THERMAX products is vermiculite, a clay mineral extracted from open-pit mining, which is closely related mineralogically to the better-known mica. Vermiculite is health-safe and ecologically very valuable. A special feature of this material is that it releases stored crystal water at around 1000° C and expands significantly in the process. The resulting so-called expanded vermiculite is pressed together with inorganic binders in a hot press to create large THERMAX boards or individual THERMAX molded parts.
