Deionization Plant

Removal of all ions contained in water through cation exchangers and anion exchangers in a deionization plant and/or a mixed bed filter. In the deionization plant, the water is first passed through the cation exchanger and then through the anion exchanger. Depending on the water quality, various processes are possible. Achievable quality after the deionization plant: residual conductivity < 2 µS/cm. In the mixed bed exchanger, cation and anion exchangers are mixed in a filter bed. The mixed bed exchanger is used for final polishing or for the treatment of pre-treated water. Achievable quality after mixed bed filter: residual conductivity < 0.08 µS/cm.
