SILCAFLEX products are made from long-fiber aluminum silicate and polycrystalline wool for the highest demands. The fibers can be processed into various products, such as mats, cords, paper, etc. SILCAFLEX mats are offered with different classification temperatures. They are flexible, particularly low in shot or shot-free (SILCAFLEX 160), and feature needling on both sides. Furthermore, they are characterized by high tear resistance, low thermal conductivity, and excellent resilience. SILCAFLEX products have outstanding temperature cycling resistance and are resistant to most chemicals. An exception includes hydrofluoric acids, phosphoric acids, and alkaline compounds. Under strong thermal stress, we recommend our Mullite Fiber SILCAFLEX 160 with an increased Al2O3 content.
