Bourdon tube pressure gauges are the most common type used in many areas and are designed to measure medium and high pressures. Bourdon tube gauges cover measurement ranges from 600 mbar to 4000 bar. The measuring element consists of a circular, spiral, or screw-shaped coiled Bourdon tube. When the interior of the tube is subjected to overpressure, it expands outward. Under vacuum, it contracts inward. This movement is the measure of the pressure to be measured and is transmitted to the pointer mechanism.
