The bluish-white metal is deposited galvanically in a shiny form and has a very high reflective capacity. The high abrasion resistance and hardness particularly characterize chrome coatings. To ensure optimal corrosion resistance, chrome is preferably used as a final coating on nickel layers or applied directly as a hard chrome layer.
