Our striking punches HRC59 are made from steel 1.12-10. We can also produce them in steel 1.2379 upon request. Posta Striking Punch - Standard Model These standard punches are designed for marking soft materials such as wood, leather, plastic, as well as metals like silver, brass, tin, lead, and copper. The images are engraved in full, resulting in blunt engravings. Posta Striking Punch - Sharp or Foam (Low Stress) Model If you want to engrave hard metals, such as steel or stainless steel, then choose the sharp model. The engraving is done from the central edge of the image. For foam (low stress) punches, we first create a sharp model which we then round off the edge, limiting the notch effect over time. The foam model is often required in the specifications of certain large companies such as aerospace Dassault, SNCF, SNECMA, etc...
