SAN sheets (Styrene-Acrylonitrile Copolymer) are characterized by good optical properties and a glossy surface.
The special features of SAN sheets include their good chemical resistance, dimensional stability, and particularly high modulus of elasticity. The modulus of elasticity means that a SAN sheet can be used for the same application with a lower thickness than, for example, acrylic glass. This results in weight and cost advantages.
Additional benefits of SAN sheets:
- High softening point
- Low water absorption
- High rigidity
