The iO2 EXPRESS is a compact audio recording interface for the studio, at home, or on the go. Equipped with two separate channels, it allows for professional recordings on Mac and PC at up to 24-bit resolution. Thanks to its small size, it can be easily stored in a laptop bag or backpack and can be used anywhere and anytime. FLEXIBLE RECORDING AND PLAYBACK Low-noise preamps and 48V phantom power enable professional microphone recordings. The high-quality AD/DA converters ensure that every detail of a session is captured in the audio recording and reproduced through the monitoring system. The iO2 EXPRESS connects easily via plug-and-play with a Mac or PC and works without driver installation with almost all audio programs. The iO2 EXPRESS is powered through the USB connection. Even without a bulky external power supply, the performance of the iO2 EXPRESS is optimized so that the laptop battery is only minimally used, allowing for long sessions and gigs to be played without issues. COMPLETE INPUT AND OUTPUT SECTION The iO2 EXPRESS features two input channels. Each channel is equipped with an XLR microphone input, a 6.3 mm insert jack, and a balanced 6.3 mm jack input for connecting line-level signals or guitars. The USB port of the iO2 EXPRESS allows for the simultaneous transmission of 2 audio channels to the computer and from the computer to the interface. For monitoring the session, any studio monitor can be connected to the 2 balanced 6.3 mm jack outputs. Additionally, the signals from the iO2 EXPRESS can be monitored through a stereo headphone jack. The iO2 EXPRESS is equipped with standard MIDI In and Out jacks, allowing for the playing and controlling of software instruments with keyboards, pad controllers, workstations, and other MIDI-compatible devices. LEVEL CONTROL The input level of each channel can be adjusted with the GAIN knob. The MASTER knob allows for adjusting the output volume. When using headphones, the separate volume control for this output will be quickly appreciated. Thanks to the visual control of the output level via the three-color stereo level indicators, you will be well-informed about any changes in volume. COMPLETE PACKAGE Included with the iO2 EXPRESS is Steinberg's Cubase LE Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software. Cubase is one of the most popular audio production environments and is used by world-renowned musicians and producers for music production and mixing due to its intuitive workflow. Of course, the iO2 EXPRESS can be used with almost any audio and MIDI software on Mac and PC.
