Exhaust System at Renault in Cleon, France
Execution: Renault in France channels the exhaust gases from 29 engine test benches through a central exhaust system. The necessary suction pressures at the exhaust outlets of the engine test specimens are generated by two externally positioned radial fans. The sound emissions from the engine test specimens are broadly dampened using hollow chamber resonators. The pressure-side sound emissions of the radial fans are reduced to permissible levels using a plate absorber.
