Sensors for Vibration and Speed Monitoring

Unbalance tolerance violations are detected immediately, preventing subsequent damage (e.g., costly spindle repairs). Operating Principle: A vibration sensor (probe) is placed on the spindle head. Mounting can be done via a magnetic base or bolted. This sensor captures the vibrations caused by unbalance. A speed sensor (optical, magnetic, or inductive) detects one pulse per spindle rotation and determines the rotational speed. The signal from the speed sensor filters the unbalance measurement so that only the spindle unbalance is measured. This ensures that the measurement result cannot be distorted by external influences.
