Segment conveyors are specifically designed for the transport of bulk materials. Using a chain strand, no residual amounts are left behind during transport. Half-round scoops are attached to the chain strand, which are tailored to fit the round trough bottom of the segment conveyor. The chain strand runs between the drive station, over the round troughs, to the tensioning station. The chain strand is redirected over the sprockets of the drive and tensioning stations. The length of the segment conveyor is adjustable. By using several round troughs that are bolted together between the drive station and the tensioning station, the desired length of the segment conveyor is achieved. It is possible to convey in both horizontal and inclined positions. The chain is driven by an electric motor, which is connected to the sprocket of the drive station. The tensioning station allows for easy re-tensioning of the chain strand.
