Autonomous Systems

Autonomous photovoltaic systems are characteristic of isolated locations without access to the electrical grid. In autonomous systems, energy from photovoltaic modules and/or a wind turbine is stored in batteries to be used later by the inverter or directly by any potential direct current loads. Such a complex electrical system requires various equipment to function perfectly regardless of operational conditions. Layer Electronics presents GREEN ISLAND, the unique autonomous system that provides electrical energy in isolated locations, thanks to a single piece of equipment that can be powered by photovoltaic modules, a wind turbine, and a backup source, such as the grid or a generator. This system can include solar and wind charge controllers, a battery charger from the grid/generator, and, if the customer also needs alternating current, an inverter. The GREEN ISLAND system can be fully customized according to your requirements. It is possible to modify the voltages and power of the equipment based on your needs. GREEN ISLAND has been designed to be compact and easily installable, with all system components grouped into a single piece of equipment, significantly reducing the wiring required.
