Cooling Box - Efficient Cooling with Space Savings

A cooling box is a water cooling system for a vessel. It consists of a U-shaped tubular bundle that is placed in the sea intake on the side of the ship, saving space in the engine room. The sea intake is equipped with inlet and outlet grilles. Seawater enters through the inlet grille and flows along the U-shaped tubular bundle to the outlet grille, thereby cooling the water inside the tubes. The cooling effect is achieved through forced circulation of seawater when the ship is moving or by natural convection when it is stationary.
