The strong and promising encounter with Hanifa and her sisters, village women from Anatolia, was a natural fit. Since its founding, Karawan has been committed to promoting the artisanal skills of the Silk Roads through the creation of unique collections that Christine reinterprets through design, keeping them alive in a spirit of solidarity economy. There is a shared desire to transmit and support the professionalization of exceptional traditional female knowledge, often confined to the domestic sphere, as a source of income and innovation.
