HAMMER MILL / FLAILED MILL

A high-speed rotating rotor (between 800 and 1500 rpm depending on the model) is equipped with hammers (in brackets, flails, or chains) made of special steel that strike the product and project it against the lining of the grinding chamber. The particle size at the output is ensured by a calibration grid at the lower part. The product must be fed along the entire length of the rotor with a consistent flow. Conditions and Advantages ● Only dry and brittle products ● Significant particle size reduction rate ● Quite fine output particle size (0 to 4mm depending on the products) ● Generation of a considerable amount of fines, thus necessitating the installation of dust extraction or pneumatic transport ● Possibility to adjust the output particle size according to the calibration of the grid and the rotational speed of the rotor
