Task of the Neutralization System
The Mini-Fix system is designed for decentralized use under the laboratory table and is characterized by its compact size, user-friendly operation, robust construction, and optimal price-performance ratio. The Mini-Fix neutralization system can also be used for cyanide and chromium detoxification through the use of special electrodes and chemicals.
Process Description
The wastewater to be neutralized (pH 2 – pH 12) flows by gravity into the reaction vessel of the neutralization system.
Once full contact is achieved, the neutralization process is automatically initiated. First, the wastewater is thoroughly mixed using a pump, and the pH value is measured. Then, the PLC control system doses the addition of acid or base depending on the deviation from the setpoint.
Subsequently, the neutralized wastewater can be discharged into the sewage system.
For larger volumes of wastewater, the use of continuous systems is advisable. In this process, the cold wastewater is preheated by the already hot dis...
