Coated Gaskets (PTFE)

Produced with a special coating system (PTFE), they are used where conventional elastomers cannot be employed due to inadequate chemical and mechanical resistance. This application can be extended to many rubber supports such as O-rings, membranes, valve seats, plates, and many other technical items. The coating (approximately 20 microns) provides protection against chemical agents, certain acids, and solvents, while the elastomer core ensures elastic memory. The coating (PTFE) has 100% adhesion to all types of materials (except silicone) and provides a minimum elasticity of 150% along with the same elastic rebound as the coated support; furthermore, the product is suitable for food contact. NBR, fluoroelastomer (VITON®), and EPDM seals coated in PTFE are suitable for use in critical situations. NBR – PTFE: – 40°C / + 100°C EPDM – PTFE: – 40°C / + 130°C VITON® – PTFE: – 40°C / + 200°C
