The Combi-Fluidization Technology (CFT Dryer) offers an economical processing solution for sticky products. CFT dryers combine the advantages of convective fluidized bed drying with contact drying.
The CFT operates with a hot, mechanical fluidized bed. The feed is distributed into this bed, which is fluidized by a rotating blade system. Within the fluidized bed, the wet product is evenly distributed across the entire drying product. The volatile components evaporate immediately upon contact with the hot particles, meaning new solids are generated.
CFT dryers enable the drying of products that cannot be processed in other contact dryers. Highly viscous, pasty, sticky, and crust-forming states are avoided.
