according to DIN 7338 A, DIN 660, DIN 661
Manufacturing
Solid rivets are produced through cold forming in a pressing process.
Riveting Process
Cold riveting creates a form-fitting rivet connection between two components. In hot riveting, a force connection is additionally created during the cooling of the rivet due to shrinkage.
Usage
For the simple creation of rivet connections. The quality of the connection can be visually inspected without any tools. This is likely the most important reason why solid rivets are used in safety-critical applications that are subjected to high cyclic loads. The secure fit of the connection can be visually checked by the shape of the head's profile.
