This 1930s floor lamp was chosen to decorate the luxurious "Trouville" apartment of the Normandie liner in 1935, as well as the gallery of lost steps in the League of Nations in Geneva (UN). The city of Paris purchased it for the International Exhibition of Arts and Techniques in 1937. It is displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in the city of Paris.
