The MTR3CMOS camera uses the SONY Exmor CMOS sensor as the imaging device and USB 3.0 as the transmission interface to increase the frame rate. The two-stage Peltier cooling sensor chip cools the sensor down to -42 degrees below ambient temperature. USB 3.0 is used as the data transmission interface to enhance the frame rate. The MTR3CMOS can often be used in low-light environments and for capturing and analyzing fluorescence images in microscopy, as well as in astronomy deep-sky applications. The integrated CMOS sensor MN34230PLJ-C, 4/3" (17.6 x 13.3 mm) with significantly improved image geometry, contrast, and sensitivity, presents even edge areas absolutely sharp with a pixel size of 3.8 x 3.8 µm. Fast data transmission and power supply occur via a single cable through USB 3.0. An integrated IR filter protects the sensor. The camera has a built-in fan and is powered by the included power supply.
