Chromatographic Analysis of Italian Helichrysum Essential Oil

Protocol for Analyzing Italian Helichrysum Essential oil of Italian helichrysum lacks a quality standard. There is also no standardized analysis protocol. Finally, italidiones do not exist in the form of certified analytical standards. These absences result in interpretations that vary from one laboratory to another. Given the relatively high price per kg, disputes are unfortunately not uncommon. To attempt to produce indisputable results, we have conducted numerous analyses using polar and non-polar capillary methods. This work has led to the development of an analysis protocol that proves to be much more reliable than previous ones. We offer the analysis of helichrysum essential oils using a 60-meter DB WAX polar capillary, with a long analysis time of 72 minutes.
