...Lavender essential oil is obtained through the steam distillation of fresh or partially dried leaves. This method produces a greater quantity of oil compared to other techniques due to the reduced compound loss in the polar technique. The harvesting of lavender flowers typically occurs around August. The lavender flowers are packed into our chrome kettle. The water in the reservoir at the bottom of the kettle evaporates and passes through the lavender flowers, evaporating along with the oil. This process takes approximately 3 hours.
