A principios de los años 60, el joven emprendedor Manuel Soutiño Silva trabajaba como tornero-fresador en Talleres Pigra, a cargo de los mecanizados de grafito. La mayoría de esos pedidos eran servidos a la primera fábrica en España de electrodos de grafito para hornos eléctricos, GENOSA, de la sociedad francesa Pechiney. Llegado el año 75, Soutiño abre su propio taller de mecanizados, TAME con la intención de dar respuesta a las necesidades de consumo de Genosa, quien decide darle la confianza Cuando en 1980 Genosa es adquirida por la multinacional alemana SGL Carbon, se le dió a Soutiño la oportunidad de mecanizar grafito para toda España, a través de una empresa colaboradora del grupo alemán. En esas fechas se forja una relación comercial con el Grupo Ferroatlántica, más concretamente con la división de I+D que aún perdura a día de hoy. En el año 2000, llega la segunda generación a Tame mediante su hijo, Javier. Éste entra en Tame con la intención de aprender todos los secretos de la mecanización de grafito, ya que sólo conocía el mecanizado de materiales férricos.Con motivo de la crisis económica, padre e hijo comentan la idea de transformar el negocio familiar en una sociedad, para poder así dar respuesta a las necesidades de pequeñas y medianas empresas que, de algún modo, estén ligadas al consumo de piezas de grafito. historia completa en la web
