...A QUINTA DO PORTAL is a Portuguese, family-owned, independent winery that has wholeheartedly embraced the concept of a "Boutique Winery," dedicating itself to the production of DOC Douro wines, special category Port wines, and Muscatel. This project, which began in the early 1990s, was based on a century-old family property where Port wine was produced, but there was immediately a strong emphasis on creating internationally-class wines from the Douro.
