The process air enters the converging section, and as the section narrows, the gas velocity increases; conversely, the liquid droplets have a lower velocity. The difference in velocity between the gas and the liquid allows for the capture and separation of dust particles. The droplets, along with the captured dust, enter a separator located downstream of the Venturi, where separation from the gas phase occurs.
