...The plastic-bound, injection-molded magnets consist of the components magnetic powder and thermoplastic plastics (matrix materials PA 6, PA 11, PA 12, PPS). The plastic granulate and magnetic powder are compounded in a hot kneader or twin-screw extruder and then granulated. The material is then shaped into the appropriate form through an injection molding process. However, the magnetic values of these injection-molded magnets are lower than those produced using compression molding (pressing process) due to their lower density.
