Jacobi Group was founded in 1916 by Ferdinand Adolph Wilhelm Jacobi, today it is made up of three core business units to serve a wide range of customer needs. In 2014 the group was acquired by Japanese company Osaka Gas Chemicals Co. Ltd. This led to a new era in innovation and increased R&D activities alongside the technical experts at Osaka Gas in Japan. Jacobi Carbons With manufacturing facilities in China, Sri Lanka, Japan, Philippines, India and Vietnam and 2 reactivation plants in Europe, we sell a range of activated carbons mostly from coconut shell raw material but also wood and coal. Jacobi Services In recent years the demand in the market for mobile filters has grown. With this, we have developed our own custom made ranges of filter units for a variety of air and liquid filtration needs, alongside the filters we offer a full end to end service package with media handling, filter exchange and filter media re-activation and replacement done by our own field service team. Jacobi Resinex Another part of Jacobi Group is the Jacobi Resinex business. Here we offer premium ion exchange resins that can be used standalone or in conjunction with our activated carbons or filter units to serve a number of different market filtration applications.

The company Makant Europe which is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main is a wholesale company and sells products from the domain of consumer electronics, memory storage media and computer equipment, clothing and textiles, pet supplies, toys and model construction as well as various household articles and special items. After starting 2003 in retail business from 2004 forward the distribution gradually converted to sales only to retailers, companies and institutions. Another step in our expansion has been the foundation of our brand Reekin in 2006 to position ourselves more tightly focused at the market. At the end of 2006 the entity change of MaKant Europe into MaKant Europe GmbH & Co.KG followed. Around the turn of the year 2008/2009 we moved our company after a thorough renovation of the building to the Frankfurt industrial area in Fechenheim Nord in Schlitzer Straße. Thanks to the new location and much larger plain we continued to expand.
