For oil extraction, only the seeds of ripe fruit are used, which contain about 13% oil. First, the flesh is removed, the kernels are washed and split. Then, the seed is separated from the hard shell and dried. The seeds are cold-pressed to obtain the apricot kernel oil, which is then filtered.
