...Gin is a spirit obtained by flavoring neutral alcohol with juniper berries and other spices (angelica, coriander, ginger, dill, etc.). Olivier's personal touch is to add lemon and Génépy to it. Hence the name "Gin des Sommets," and yes, in the Southern Alps, we also have our regional gin! Gins were originally British or Dutch. It can be enjoyed neat with a few ice cubes, on crushed ice, or in well-known long drinks such as Gin Fizz and Gin and tonic. These two cocktails were created by the British Navy during their many voyages.
