If we trace back to the origins of the Glandières house, we find Joseph Pagès, who founded a dynasty of cutlers on Valat Street in Laguiole. His son, Henri Pagès, born on December 4, 1867, took over and moved the Pagès workshop from Valat Street to Bardière Street. He received various awards and medals at different exhibitions, notably in Canada in 1900 for his highly innovative craftsmanship.
