Turning, milling, flat, profile, and cylindrical grinding, honing, lapping, polishing, wire erosion, and sinker erosion on manual and CNC-controlled machines now fulfill all customer wishes. Especially the erosion technology is also frequently utilized outside of the pharmaceutical technology sector. Thus, precision machine manufacturers, electronics companies, and tool manufacturers for stamping and injection molding tools are also part of the customer base. Throughout Europe, tablet tools, blister tools, and spare parts for pharmaceutical machines are delivered with the highest precision to renowned pharmaceutical companies. On January 5, 1959, former Siemens employee and master toolmaker Balthasar Höfler founded the craft business Balth. Höfler Werkzeugbau in the Munich district of Thalkirchen at the young age of 29. In the early years, he and his employees primarily produced cutting, stamping, and bending tools, as well as fixtures and mechanical precision parts. Among his largest clients were Siemens and Agfa. The first order from a pharmaceutical company came in 1963 when he received a repair order to manufacture a tablet press tool for a tablet press. He quickly established himself as a tool manufacturer and "problem solver" among pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies in Munich and the surrounding area. Pharmaceutical companies such as Markquardt, Optopan, Zyma-Bless, Togal, Hermes, and Cyanamid - to name just a few - chose him as their main supplier.
