The translation of a book, or literary translation, into the different languages we know today is almost as essential as writing it in its original language. In contrast to other types of translation, literary translation is more complex. Firstly, the content to be read is much more wide-ranging and sophisticated than that involved in a simple or technical translation, such as the translation of a web page or a report. Moreover, there are no pattern to follow, as each book tells a unique story. In addition to this, there is the complexity of rhetorical figures of speech, cultural location, the cognitive language of the author, the period in which it is or was written, the motivations that led the writer to write certain passages or, like metaphors, which are often found in literary genres such as the novel and poetry above all; but also the archaic technicalities that can occur in some contemporary works that claim to be based on earlier times.
