The fruit resembles a tangerine: the main differences lie in the color of the flesh, which is decidedly more orange. Additionally, it is never flattened like tangerines, but always perfectly round. Like the tangerine, it peels and separates into segments easily. The taste, however, is more similar to that of an orange, with a perfect balance between sour and sweet. Furthermore, unlike the tangerine, the segments of the clementine are almost completely seedless.
