One Step Drug Test Card – Product Code: SC-0029-25 The Screen 1 Buprenorphine rapid test (Urine) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Buprenorphine in urine at a threshold concentration of 10 ng/ml. This test provides only a preliminary qualitative result. Buprenorphine is a powerful pain reliever often used in the treatment of opiate addiction. The substance is sold under the trade names of Subutex, ™ Buprenex, ™ Temgesic, ™ and Suboxone ™ which contain Buprenorphine HCl alone or in combination with Naloxone HCl. Therapeutically, buprenorphine is used as a replacement therapy for opiate addicts. Substitution therapy is a form of medical care offered to opiate addicts (especially heroin addicts) based on a substance similar or identical to the commonly used drug. In replacement therapy, buprenorphine is as effective as methadone but exhibits lower levels of physical dependence.
