Sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) is a deciduous woody plant and belongs to the Rosaceae family and Prunoideae subfamily. The fruit is a monocarpic pome, with a spherical appearance and dark red, pink, or yellow color. The fruits are meaty, sweet-tasting, 2-3 pieces stacked together on stalks. Sweet cherry is a very important agricultural plant and its fruits are in high demand both for fresh consumption and for processing. Sweet cherry has the most vitamin C compared to other pome fruit. The fruit is also rich in zinc, folic acid, calcium, antioxidants, and flavonoids which play an important role in a healthy diet. Cherry also contains cellulose, which tightly regulates digestion.

Dark red flesh, juicy, medium-firm, with a pleasant aroma, tastes sour with a possible sweet note. Rich in soluble dry matter, sugar, acid, and vitamins. The juice made from Oblacinska sour cherry has an intense red color.

Vigour of the tree is medium strong, and branches have a medium spreading growing habit. It is suitable for all types of tree forming and growing systems. Flowering is mid-late and is a good pollinator. POLLINATORS: Conference. FRUIT APPEARANCE: Shape is conical, elongated. Skin is thin, smooth, glossy with a green-yellow base color, yellow-bronze overlay, with possible pink blushes on the sunny side. The flesh is white-yellow in color, soft, juicy. Taste is sweet, with possible sour notes. FRUIT SIZE: Medium-large to large. HARVEST: Second half of September.
