SCEA CHATEAU BRANDE-BERGERE

Château Brande-Bergère is an 8-hectare estate located north of Saint Emilion. The utmost care is taken in the vineyard work, all of which is done by hand (leaf removal, destemming, harvesting). The estate is certified "High Environmental Value (H.V.E.)"; herbicides are prohibited and waste is recycled. The wines are made from a traditional Bordeaux blend: Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (35%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%). The wines of Château Brande-Bergère have been awarded numerous distinctions (Gold Medal in Paris, World Wine Award by Decanter, ratings by top wine critics, and recognition by the best restaurants, such as Arpège in Paris, which has three Michelin stars). The renowned British critic, Jancis ROBINSON, rated the Château Brande-Bergère Cuvée O’Byrne 2009 with 92/100. She notably wrote: "This wine ranks in a category well above its price in terms of enjoyment. It is full of fruit and charm... It is incredibly concentrated with melted tannins and subtle oak. I particularly enjoyed its richness on the palate and its freshness on the finish." More recently, the American rating agency "International Wine Report" awarded it a score of 92/100 for the 2018 vintage. Château Brande-Bergère is recognized for offering one of the best quality-price ratios on the market.
